The World Equestrian Games are as diverse and international as I’d hoped they’d be with different languages and flags around every corner. Being a lover of travel and language I’m just as happy as can be. I ran into this festive group before the eventing jogs. They were bright and cheery and such fun. You know I’m always game for new friends so I couldn’t miss the opportunity to chat with, from left to right, Anglela, Clarissa, Clemency, Tina, and Mike. Can you pick the Aussie out of the group?
Right! I loved her scarf with matching shades. She has team spirit down pat.
Mike had the warmest smile and paired with his British button he had a winning look.
The team spirit extended far past just fans and made its way to the teams as well including this Danish dressage rider with Chef D’Equipe, Rudolf Zellinger
this crew of Swiss teammembers,
and this Spanish rider.
Even the golf carts had team spirit.
I’m looking forward to soaking up more of the international feel of the World Equestrian Games, over hearing a myriad of languages, and reveling in the fact that it’s all taking place on our home-town stomping grounds of the Kentucky Horse Park.
