Answer: Hoof & Health is formulated using 3 different types of seaweed – Bladderwrack, Kelp and Cornish Calcified – along with pure Rosehip shells.

The Rosehip shells in this formula do contain a small quantity of biotin, but the product’s benefits are not dependent on its biotin content. Rosehips are included because they provide large quantities of the antioxidant Vitamin C, which is required by tissues in all parts of the body. Vitamin C is needed to form collagen, an important protein used to make skin, tendons, ligaments and blood vessels. Vitamin C is also essential for the production and maintenance of cartilage, bones and teeth. In addition to being an excellent source of Vitamin C, Rosehips are also rich in flavonoids, which support blood vessel and capillary health, helping to maintain normal blood supply, which is vital for healthy hoof growth.

The 3 different types of seaweed included in Hoof & Health were selected because they provide a balanced supply of minerals, vitamins, amino acids and trace elements, all of which are needed by the body to support overall health and vitality. The Kelp and Bladderwrack contain 20 amino acids, which are the “building blocks” of protein and necessary for the production and maintenance of tissues throughout the body, including the hoof wall. Additionally, these seaweeds contain beta carotene, Vitamins C, D and E, plus a wide variety of B vitamins. The Cornish Calcified Seaweed is rich in calcium and magnesium, minerals necessary to help support the strength and integrity of hoof structures. In addition to Hoof & Health’s ability to support the growth of strong, healthy hooves, the seaweeds can also help with deep, rich coat color, which is a lovely added benefit!

Hilton Herbs Hoof & Health provides the natural elements necessary for strong and healthy hooves, and also helps support a horse’s overall health and wellness. And because of the added benefits for skin and coat, I like to call it our “grooming kit in a tub”!

My QH is on this supplement and it’s really a great all around supplement. He’s and easy keeper and dosen’t really have many problems but I wanted just a little something to make sure he stays in tip top shape. His coat is a beautiful deep red color, and his hoofs are nice and strong. Also, the price of this supplement is great!! ;)
