Meet Fay and Sovereign
Breed: Friesian/Percheron Cross
Owners: Fay Windsor
Shortly after purchasing my young horse, Sovereign, he was diagnosed with a rare type of OCD that required surgery. During the surgery, the vet noticed that as well as the OCD, Sovereign also had ligament damage. The prognosis was bleak. It was very possible that his dressage career had ended before it had even begun. Post-surgery, Sovereign was put on stall rest and a very costly joint supplement regimen. But after paying for the surgery, we needed a more cost-effective option for long-term support. I called SmartPak and the Customer Care agent was very helpful and sympathetic. She recommended SmartFlex III Resilience Pellets
, which I liked because of the impressive list of ingredients, the price, and the fact that it came in pellets. SmartFlex III Resilience Pellets had all the ingredients my vet said to look for and more! It seemed tailored just for us as it supported not only his joints, but also tendons and ligaments.
Eventually, Sovereign was allowed off stall rest to start a slow rehab program. Four months later, the vet did a re-check, and it was a happy end to our story. The combination of surgery, rehabilitation, and the support of the supplement had worked! Sovereign was given a completely clean bill of health. As we prepare for our first dressage test next year, Sovereign still takes SmartFlex III Resilience Pellets every day for ongoing support.
