“I have owned and operated Arrowhead Farms, a hunter/jumper boarding facility in Concord, MA, for the past 13 years. After first opening my facility in 1999, I soon realized it was becoming a full time job to manage the various supplements for multiple horses. Many owners had horses arriving on supplements that were no longer appropriate for their horse, not to mention my feed room was quickly running out of space. Labeling each supplement with the horse and owner names, packing dozens of containers for each road trip, and ensuring that every staff member was familiar with the ever-growing stack of supplements all became dreaded tasks.

Then SmartPak came to the farm! Each horse was reviewed by a specialist, trainer and owner, to ensure that individualized needs were being met for each horse. Easy, efficient, sturdy, labeled storage containers were provided for each client to store their personal supply of SmartPaks. Our feed room is now stream lined: auto-delivery eliminates the need for frequent trips for products, and pre-measured supplement wells guarantee a consistent “dose” delivery seven days a week, day or night, at home or on the road. We feel very fortunate to have SmartPak on our team; their excellent customer service allows changes to be made with just a phone call, and a new client to the barn can easily be added to our barn account.
We are thrilled to be able to take advantage of the many other great products SmartPak has to offer as well, such as tack, blankets, saddle pads and the free monogramming service that we receive as part of the SmartPak program. We are organized and ready whether our horses are at home or off to a show. Thanks SmartPak for providing a system and service that ensures our horses are receiving all that they need to be the very best they can be.”

This looks like an extremely nice place to raise horses. I bet they are really happy there!
Great article, great barn, great owner
Thanks Nancy, we are glad you enjoyed it!
What a beautiful facility. Loved the story!
Although it was before Martha’s time, I have wonderful memories of Arrowhead because it was where I rode for most of my childhood, and it was the first place where I really had “barn buddies”. It’s so wonderful to see the farm looking even more beautiful than in my memories! Great job keeping this place so special.
Thanks for your comment Caitlin, we agree that Arrowhead is a wonderful facility! Maybe you’ll get back there sometime to visit! 🙂
