Very informative
My horse already coliced and was operated on. I am already aware of the facts you included in your article, but it was a very helpful reminder. Thank you.
I disagree with your warning signs, All of the above is the answer. My stud will get very cranky (bad attitude), resistant to work if he is just starting a colic.
Hi Carol, thanks for reaching out to share your feedback about this quiz! While every horse is different, a worsening attitude and resistance to work are typically found as warning signs for gastric ulcers. When putting together the common colic warning signs for this quiz, we used the list of signs put out by the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP), which you can find in this article on their website: https://aaep.org/horsehealth/colic-minimizing-its-incidence-and-impact-your-horse. – SmartPaker Lexi
Great information. I have 4 standard breads and am extremely careful about feending them – including pasture time. I appreciate the articles that help us all. I learn something new every day.
