#askthevetvideo What are some strategies to treat and prevent hock sores? My horse has a thickly bedded stall, but gets to go out in turnout all night and is tearing his hocks up on the hard ground when he rolls or lays down.

#askthevetvideo – I have a 19y/o broodmare who’s just been confirmed in foal for 2018. I am needing to move her to a breeding farm preferably before winter. When is it safe to haul a mare in foal over long distances (1500 miles)? OR, is it safe to haul that distance at all now that she’s in foal?
This mare has never had problems hauling, and tends to be very calm and well mannered, even over long distances. Will a haul that long risk losing the foal? Thanks!

I have a 2 yr old stallion. He is very reactive and immature. I have been working on getting him used to trailering. He enters and exits the trailer but during the ride he is so stressed out, constantly banging at the walls of the trailer and breaks out in a sweat. Are there essential oils that are safe to use that might help to calm him for short periods like during travel?

#askthevetvideo – I have heard you talk about the journal that you keep for Newman many times. And would like to start one for my 2 horses, Luna & Bruegger. Could you go into detail about what type of things you keep track of, and how you use it?
