Can you please let me know what you used to decorate the cookies? Are they peas?cranberries? Poppy seeds??
Hi Janna,
Thanks for your question! We used dried split peas, coconut flakes, cranberries, dried banana chips, raisins, chia seeds, and mints to decorate the cookies.

Love the cookie recipe ❤️ Can’t wait to make them for our horsies. They are going to love them and what a special treat for them!!! Everything they love and healthy too!! Thanks for the step by step video. Loved it!
One of my horses has EMS. Can you suggest an alternative to the molasses that will work in this recipe?
It looks messy with the honey and peanut butter – perhaps if you froze them they could be put together as a gift? Or maybe use regular pwdrd sugar mixed with the honey and peanut butter to harden the icing around the decorations…?
I love your videos. I never make rolled out cookies for my humans. But I would make them for the horses!!!
What about using flax seeds or ground flax & maybe even black licorice? I know my horse Bill will love the treats with peppermints or just plain. Thanks for the easy recipe!
This is great! My equestrian team is going to make these for our barn. How many cookies does this recipe make?
What kind of molasses is used in this recipe?
such a great recipe !!
for how long can I store them before they go bad and I shouldn’t give them to the horsies anymore ?
cheers !
Hi Lyre, thanks for your question! We’d recommend storing this in an airtight container for up to two weeks at most. You could also freeze them for a month or two as needed! Happy baking. -SmartPaker Jenna
