We asked you to tell us why your veterinarian rocks, and now it’s time for us to share your stories! Because your vet makes your horse feel good, thanking your vet makes you feel good, and being thanked makes your vet feel good, we’ll be sharing your submissions every week on #FeelGoodFriday.
This week’s featured veterinarian: Dr. Caleb Lund
“When I got home on July 30th, 2016, Winston walked to the gate and curled up. He was losing his battle with equine lung disease. A lightning storm erupted as I drove to Dr. Lund’s office down the hill. My husband called me: the back pasture was on fire. I ran out, Dr. Lund hitched up his trailer, dodged fire trucks (we had 21 lightning fires that night), and loaded Winston to take him to end his suffering. He was the calm in the fire storm on the most awful night of my life, with compassion for both my horse and me. I will always treasure this vet.”
